Prof. B. L. Handoo has been in the field of education: teaching, teacher- training, mentoring, innovating, managing schools and advising managements for over four decades now. A GOLD MEDALLIST with a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature, a FIRST CLASS FIRST M.ED. Degree and a P.G. Diploma in Distance Education from IGNOU, Delhi. He researched extensively at RCEM, Ajmer; on PIAGETIAN CONCEPT OF COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT, for his PH.D. IN COGNITIVE DEVELOPMENT. He has been awarded a Doctorate in Educational Psychology by the Cosmopolitan University, USA.

He has been FOUNDER PRINCIPAL OF A TEACHER EDUCATION COLLEGE for Women, for eleven years. He has been a CONSULTANT to Vishwa Bharati, and he established Schools & Colleges in Srinagar, Jammu and Noida.
He has been PRINCIPAL of the Maheshwari Public School, Jaipur; Gyan Bharati, Saket, New Delhi and Apeejay, Sheikh Saria−New Delhi. He was HONORARY DIRECTOR and PRINCIPAL of the Rani Laximibai Group of Public Schools and established institutions for the Group at Jhansi, Lalitapur (U.P) and Datia (M.P). He also functioned as DIRECTOR RLVM, Hathras and as VICE CHANCELLOR of Aquatech University, Raipur.

He was EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT & DEAN OF SCHOOLS, for over Five Years, to Darshan Education Foundation, Delhi; which runs fifteen Educational Institutions all over India and is pioneering a movement in Spiritual Curriculum and Holistic Education; DIRECTOR-PRINCIPAL CUM DEAN of Chaman Vatika Residential Public School and Chaman Vatika International School at Ambala, and as an EDUCATIONAL ADVISOR to VIBGYOR International School, Philkhowa, Hapur; Sapience World School, Jaipur & RLVM Hathras. He has been PROJECT DIRECTOR of Regional and National Level Workshops for NCERT and CBSE.

He is on the Management of scores of Leading Public Schools including the Dayawati Modi Group of Schools, Model Academy (MIER) Jammu, GVN The Global School, Bhopal, Vidya Niketan, Ranchi and the Academic World School, Bemetara, C.G.

He held counselling and sensitisation workshops for the Principals and Teachers of Air Force Schools at: LUDHIANA, KANPUR, PUNE, AND KOLKATA. He was the Main Speaker at the 16th Annual Conference of Delhi Sikh Public Schools, where he spoke an “Education for Excellence”.

He has Resourced several Workshops on behalf of NABET- Quality Council of India, Delhi; on ‘How to prepare a School for Accreditation’, ‘CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws and Requirements’ and ‘Accreditation Examiner Training Course’ at:- Quality Council of India, Delhi; Hotel Claridge, Delhi; East Delhi Mall-Lemon Tree Hotel; Chandigarh, Chennai, and Ahmadabad.
He has i been associated with the QUALITY COUNCIL OF INDIA, DELHI; in the Accreditation Process & Quality Improvement of Education & Governance of Schools in India. He is a member of the NABET-QCI School Technical Committee.
He has Assessed Schools on behalf of Quality Council of India and CBSE to conduct a Pilot Study of the Accreditation Standard of CBSE and the NABET-QCI Standard:- Vasant Valley School, Vasant Kunj, Delhi; Sanskriti School, Delhi; Amity International School, Saket, Delhi; Kothari International School, Noida, and Somerville School, Sector 22, Noida.

He worked as an EDUCATIONAL CONSULTANT to NIIT Limited on Quality Accreditation of Schools and Training of Trainers for 03 years.
Prof. B. L. Handoo & Team (IECS) was empanelled by CBSE for Capacity Building Training of Teachers & Principals in 2014-15.

He is a voracious reader, has been travelling extensively to study Systems, Operating Procedures, Quality Assurance Techniques etc. of Educational Systems of UK, USA, China, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, France, Germany and other developed and developing Nations. He was recently in Switzerland and Paris. He is the recipient of scores of Honours and Awards, including the DISTINGUISHED EDUCATIONIST AWARD of PTA India (Award given to him by Prof. Yashpal, Former Chairman University Grants Commission), The BEST TEACHER AWARD of International Children’s Movement (Award given to him by Mr. P.A. Sangama, the Former Speaker of Lok Sabha) & “THE INDIA GAURAV AWARD” by Parliamentarians of India.

G.Balasubramanian graduated in Chemistry from Presidency college, Chennai. He obtained his Post-graduation in Analytical & Inorganic Chemistry from Madras University, Post-graduation in Hindi from Sri Venkateswara University and Post-graduation in Education from Annamalai University.
He obtained a diploma in German from University of Madras, a Certificate in Project Technology from Trent College of Education, Nottingham U.K and a certificate in Computer Education from Leeds University, U.K. He is a certified Master Trainer for Skills Development from Glagow UK.

Starting his career as a Post-graduate Teacher in Chemistry in a public school, he took over as a Principal of Hindu Senior secondary School, Chennai. He joined the Central Board of Secondary Education as a Joint Secretary in 1984 and has worked in several capacities in Academics, Examination, Confidential and Administration branches of CBSE. Elevated to the Post of Director (Academic) in 1997, he held the additional charge of the Chief Vigilance Officer of the Board.
Presently he has his own consultancy services under the banner Educational Systems and Innovations.
He had been the chairman of the Curriculum Reforms Committee and Examination Reforms Committee in the Government of Tamilnadu.
Known for his innovation in curriculum development and interactive pedagogy, he has been instrumental to the introduction of several innovations in curriculum in CBSE which include Frontline curriculum, Communicative Approach to Language Teaching, Information Technology, Bio-technology, Entrepreneurship, Fashion Studies, Disaster Management, Life Skill Education, Alternatives to Homework among others. He is a strong advocate of Stress-free education and has initiated several steps in this direction. He is a premier Teacher trainer and in ushering change management in schools.
His interests include philosophy, psychology, poetry and Literature. He has widely traveled in many countries which include England, France, Germany, Holland, Switzerland, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand, Sri Lanka and in Gulf. He has participated in several national and international conferences and presented papers on a wide variety of academic interests.

She has been associated with MSMS Vidyalaya, Jaipur since its inception in 1984. She worked in the school as a teacher, Counselor, Trainer and Academic coordinator before taking charge as the Head of the school in 1995.

Mr. Ashok Pandey, is working in the School sector for the past three decades. He did Masters in Physics from Allahabad University and in Consultancy Management from BITS, Pilani. Major General N K Dhir is an Engineer, a textile technologist and an M. Tech in systems and management from IIT Delhi. He has had three years research experience in the field of “Organizational Effectiveness” at IIT New Delhi.
An alumnus of National Defence Academy Khadakvasla, he was commissioned in the Corps of Engineers of Indian Army in Dec.1965. He saw action in SHAKARGARH sector in INDO – PAK war of 1971. He was selected for Quality Assurance assignment in Defense, where he made his mark and served in various key appointments.
He is a member of the BIS Committee on Quality Management Systems and has represented India at the ISO meeting held at Bucharest (Romania) in 2003 and at Beijing (China) in 2011. He is the convener for the panel constituted for formulation of an Indian Standard on QMS – Requirements for Service Quality by Public Service Organizations, IS – 15700;2005. National Accreditation Board for Education & Training (NABET) a constituent of Quality Council of India (QCI) has appointed him as Assessor, Counselor and Trainer for quality in education, training, including vocational training and various Management related courses.
He was Director, Defense Institute of Quality Assurance, Bangalore, and later Director (Policy, Planning and Training) at the HQ DGQA. He is the founder Director of National Academy for Training and Development (NATAD) – an institution under the aegis of Indian Society for Training & Development (ISTD). He is the Programme Director for the “Certified Trainers” for NATAD. He is a qualified Master Trainer certified by Scottish Qualification Authority (SQA), Glasgow. He was a member of the Board of Studies of Punjab Technical University for their B Tech Industrial Engineering Course with specialization in Entrepreneurship & TQM and later Programmed Director at NCR. He is a visiting faculty at IP University, Delhi for MBA Course and IIT Delhi for Entrepreneurship programme.
He is an acknowledged trainer having conducted numerous workshops/programs on subjects as diverse as “Quality Management” to “Operational Excellence” to “Developing Winning Edge for Leaders” to ‘Train the Trainer”. He has done extensive work in the field of “Emotional Intelligence for Organizational Excellence” and has developed a comprehensive training program on this subject, which is highly sought after. He also conducted a Pre-Conference workshop at 33rd IFTDO World Conference on this topic.
He is a speaker at Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy for Administration Mussourie and College of Defence Management, Secundarabad. He was awarded “Kanpur Ratna” by Conference of Intellectuals for his outstanding contributions. He has been regularly conducting in-house training programmes for various public, private sector organizations and institutions in India and Nepal. He is a past National Champion in Yachting and holds a blue in gliding from College of Military Engineering, Pune.

DR. NANCY HANDOO

Associate Professor

Dr. Nancy is Associate Professor, Department of Humanities & Social Sciences at National Institute of Technology, Srinagar Kashmir. Dr. Nancy Handoo has been part of ELT brigade for 21 years. An avid observer of ELT scenario in India, she actively promotes action research and class room observation, through research, writing and teacher training.

Adhering to the belief that the dynamism of the language teaching paradigm in India needs innovation and experiments, her endeavour through articles, research papers is to sensitize teachers to pedagogic practices and their far reaching impact on all aspects of student education.

Dr. Nancy is a conscientious teacher. Her passion for language drove her to the University of Leads (U.K) for specialization in Teaching of English Language after obtaining Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching of English from CIEFL (Hyderabad) a Deemed University. Prior to her joining REC now NIT, Srinagar, she was a trainer in the Govt. College of Education, Srinagar; where she used to teach in-service/pre-service teachers. In her present assignment she has attempted to enrich her students with both oral / written communication skills.

Her teaching career spread over two and half decades has provided her an input as to why the students are not able to confront efficiently and effectively communication both during their professional studies and in their professional career. This situation made her undertake a study through research so as to suggest measures to make the students proficient in communicative skills. The study was conducted by her at the University of Jammu, Department of English, the topic on which she worked was: “Bilingualism and Communicative Approach to Language Teaching: A study of English language teaching and learning at Secondary level in the Jammu region.”

She was awarded Ph.D. for this Work.She has participated in number of conferences/ Seminars both at National and International levels and has made her contributions through presentation of papers which were received very well. She has functioned as Chairperson of the Library committee of GCET /NIT. University of Jammu appointed her as Member of Board of Studies for Humanities where she has contributed by remolding syllabus for engineering students.

K.R.Maalathi

K.R.Maalathi is the“Founder CEO of Auuro Educational Services”. More than two decades ago she started off as a spirited teacher and over the years has moved up a path-breaking career trajectory. Currently she works with a number of International Schools in India and abroad as a CEO ,Advisor, Consultant, Board member and Chief Mentor. She has set up 14 International , 8 CBSE and 2 multidisability centers across India and in Doha, Qatar. Currently she is the advisor to the Hindustan International School in Chennai and Bhavan’s Public School in Doha, Qatar. Maalathi possesses an International Diploma for teaching and training from University of Cambridge, UK, Masters in Education from Alagappa University and Bachelors in Economics from University of Madras. To bridge the burgeoning gap existing in the Indian education system between Kindergarten and Primary, after years of research on the importance of quality early years education in every child’s life she founded “Happy Tots”; a pioneering early education program which can be integrated into mainstream schools. As an educator and a strong advocate of welfare of children in the country, for over 8 years Maalathi has been conducting parenting workshops across India. She strongly believes that happy children can be raised only through happy parents, so she is spreading the art of parenting through workshops, seminars, video conferencing, monthly video magazines (meant for women in the rural areas through an NGO), through talk shows in TV and in Radio’s. So far over 20000 parents (across India, over 5 years) have benefited from these sessions. She has been bestowed with the title Kuzhandai Illakiya Ratna by the All India Radio and Doordarshan Siruvar Sangam and the titleModern Architect of the New age schools by Education Today for her outstanding contribution towards children’s literary work and for building world class schools respectively.

DR. ARJUN BADLANI

PROFESSIONAL IN QUALITY, EDUCATION & MANAGEMENT

Dr Arjun Badlani is an expert in Quality and Productivity in both K-12 as well as Higher education and management . He is a Professional Life Member of the Quality Council of India (QCI), the Apex National Body for promoting Quality and Accreditation Structure in India that has a vision of “Quality for National Well Being”. He served the National Accreditation Board for Education and training (NABET) a constituent board of the Quality Council of India (QCI)I, as Advisor, Principal Assessor and Lead Trainer for K-12 school improvement from 2008 onward. He also formulated Criteria for Quality Standards of Education Organizations for Quality Council of India and Bureau of Indian Standards. Worked with Govt. and private organizations across India for quality improvement and accreditation of about 70 organizations in K-12 sector. He has also served as Advisor, Quality, (2003-2007) to Darshan Education Foundation that runs 20 schools in India and abroad with a vision of education for a peaceful world. It also incorporates a spiritual curriculum in collaboration with “Science of Spirituality” an international interfaith organization working for human integration.

He was among the pioneers in quality school education in India (1996 to 2003) serving as Director of the Indus Quality Foundation to spread the movement of Quality in schools based on the precepts of Quality Guru Philip Crosby (who was its first chairman) and to enable the students for holistic Personality Development based on Indian esoteric wisdom in collaboration with the Ramakrishna Institute of Moral and Spiritual Research. He introduced students and teachers from over 400 schools in various places to the concepts and application of Quality in life and Holistic Personality Development directly impacting over 150,000 students and 900 teachers.

He has been a pioneer in work integrated multi-disciplinary learning programs in Higher education for 13 years (1983- 1996) serving as Head BITS Centre at Delhi of the Industry linked University curriculum, and subsequently Prof. and Head Management Studies group , Member Research Board and Senate member BITS Pilani. He also pioneered export of small scale Industries on a turnkey basis from India to East Africa for 7 years (1976-1983) as Manager Turnkey Projects, Unitex Cooperative Society Ltd. which he also served as Secretary for one year. He began his working career in the technical services of Quality and Productivity in a British Multinational company during (1974 – 1976). He completed his B.E Hons (Mech) in 1972, M.E with Engineering Practice in 1974 for which he was awarded the University Gold Medal, and Ph.D in 1991 from BITS Pilani. He has made several presentations in National and International Conferences. Awarded Udyog Shiksha Sahyog Puraskar for outstanding and exemplary contribution towards Education by Centre for Education Growth and Research in 2014.

MR. P.S.KALRA

Mr. P. S. Kalra is M.Sc (Mathematics) B.Ed. He has a teaching experience of over 24 years. He has served at various positions in most prestigious schools of India. He has been instrumental in training students and teachers at various levels.
He is associated with C. B. S. E. as Head Examiner / Member inspection committees, Observer and Mentor of CCE training and Resource Person for various CBSE initiatives like CCE & SGAI etc. His main interest is in developing innovative strategies in teaching of Mathematics to make learning Joyful. He has organized and conducted over 200 workshops for teachers and students at various levels all over India. He has authored books on Mathematics Lab activities and Text Books in Mathematics too.

Mr. PS Kalra has been the Recipient of CBSE Sports Promotion Award 2013; Recipient of International School Award (2013-16) constituted by British Council; Recipient of Jyotirmay Award 2011 for excellent contribution of the field of education; Recipient of Gyan Ganga Award for Excellence in the field of education for achieving and maintaining the highest standards in Academics and Recipient of Best Teacher Award constituted by Lions Club Lake City, Bhopal in 2010. Mr. PS Kalra is an Educational Advisor to various schools and has expertise in the CBSE affiliation process.

Mrs. Pratima Sinha

Educational Consultant

Mrs. Pratima Sinha is a Post Graduate in Early Childhood Education along with BSc. B.Ed. and Masters in Education . She is also a diploma holder in Business English from Shaw Academy and in Entrepreneur Skills from Girls in Tech India. She has headed schools with Indian (ICSE& CBSE) and International curriculum (IB &IGCSE).

In the capacity of Regional Academic Head for Pearson Education, she has conducted school audits on Academic Quality Management, Evaluation and Academic Interventions and has been the trainer for EDXCEL Teacher Training Programme offered by Pearson Education under which she has conducted workshops for teachers across the country. She has also conducted various workshops for Heads of Institutions on Parent School Partnership and Introducing Life Skills through Theatre.

As Principal and Head Academic Research and development of Meridian School Hyderabad, she did extensive research and developed various modules for teacher training which have been adopted by Meridian School for their Pre-Service and In Service teacher training programme. She had also developed Pre-School curriculum for franchisee module.

She has been an Observer and Centre Superintendent for NEET ,CTET , Evidences of Assessment and JEE and has been appointed by CBSE as Inspector for School Affiliations .She was a mentor to teachers for CBSE initiative –Alternative to Home Work.

She has attended many IB workshops and conferences and had been invited by Asia Pacific University (Ritsumeiken) Japan to study their programme. She is a member of Global Educators Association for Educational Research (GEARD) and is part of new initiatives started by the association.

She is also a volunteer member of Indian School Leadership Institute (ISLI) an organization that believes that every school can change the future of the nation.

Mr. Vikram Dutt is a Consultant in Inclusion in Education; Media and Corporate governance. He has been a visiting fellow to the U.S., Italy, Germany, and the UK. As Secretary of the Board of Management, he helped establish the Indian Spinal Injuries Centre in New Delhi and later worked as its first Chairman of Rehabilitation. He has also served as secretary of the Indo-US sub-commission on spinal injury research. He is a Founder Member of the Forum of Public Schools; which was started 26 years ago. He has been associated with many schools, including his alma mater, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road; from where he passed out as Head Boy in 1967, winning the School Games Jersey and the Vice President of India Silver Medal for Outstanding All-Round Student. Mr. Dutt is the author of over 250 publications. He is a former Editor of the Indian Journal of Disability and Rehabilitation. He also serves on the editorial board of several technical international journals, including Sexuality and Disability, a field in which he specializes. He has taught as well as been Paper Setter and Examiner at Kurukshetra, Jamia Hamdard, and Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha Universities as well as taught at Bhoj Open University and Indian Institute of Mass Communication, as visiting faculty. His subjects are varied and include Special Education, Ethics in Management, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation; and Social Communication. He also serves on the Vice Chancellor’s High Powered Committee at Punjabi University, Patiala. His international honours include ‘500 Intellectuals to Influence Contemporary Thought’ and ‘Man of the Year’ and ‘Man of the Decade’ Awards, all from USA. He has been felicitated by the Chairperson of the British House of Lords Committee on Disability. He has also won several awards in India for his work with the disadvantaged. Currently, he serves as the Thematic Head for Positive Mental Health for Children for Quality Institutional Care and Alternatives for Children (QIC&AC) – a confederation of over 30 NGOs. He is also on the Technical Committee of CARA (Central Adoption Resources Authority) and contributed significantly to making adoption comparatively hassle-free by making the process transparent and online. Currently, serves as President of Manovikas Charitable Society that works with the Mentally Challenged.
